Terms and Conditions for Introductory Programme

1. Parties and Agreement

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern enrolment in the Explorer Teaser programme ("Programme") offered by Makerschool Pte Ltd ("Makerschool", "we", "us"), registered in Singapore (UEN: 202340233M) at 76 Circuit Road #02-06, Singapore 370076. By submitting this registration form and making payment, the parent or legal guardian ("you") agrees to these Terms on behalf of the enrolled child ("Student").

2. Programme Details

The Introductory Programme comprises four (4) sessions of ninety (90) minutes each, delivered at Makerschool's premises.

3. Fees and Payment

A place is reserved only upon receipt of full payment. Makerschool does not accept partial payments or payment plans for this programme.
Payment must be completed within 48 hours of submitting this registration form. Unpaid registrations will be released after this period.
All fees are stated in Singapore Dollars (SGD).

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation more than 14 days before the first session: Full refund less a SGD $20 administrative fee.
Cancellation 7–14 days before the first session: 50% refund of the programme fee.
Cancellation fewer than 7 days before the first session, or after the programme has commenced: No refund. The BBC micro:bit v2 kit (where already issued) remains the Student's property.
Transfer of enrolment to another cohort (subject to availability) may be requested in writing at least 7 days before the first session at no additional charge, once per enrolment.
In the event Makerschool cancels the programme for any reason (including insufficient enrolment or force majeure), a full refund will be issued within 10 business days.

5. Attendance and Punctuality

Sessions begin promptly. Students arriving more than 15 minutes late may not be admitted to that session at the instructor's discretion, and no refund or make-up will be provided for that session.
If a Student misses a session due to illness or emergency, Makerschool will endeavour (but cannot guarantee) to provide catch-up materials. No refund is issued for individual missed sessions.
Persistent absence does not entitle the parent or guardian to a refund or credit.

6. Equipment and Materials

The BBC micro:bit v2 kit is included in the programme fee and becomes the Student's property after it is issued in Session 1.
All other consumable materials (cardboard, paint, adhesives, etc.) are provided by Makerschool and are consumed during the programme. No additional materials cost is charged.
Makerschool provides laptops and computing equipment for in-session use. Students must not attempt to install software, change system settings, or access websites outside those required for the programme.
Students are responsible for any deliberate damage caused to Makerschool equipment or premises. Accidental damage in the ordinary course of making activities is covered by Makerschool.

7. Supervision, Safety and Behaviour

Makerschool staff maintain a ratio of at least one instructor per six Students at all times during programme sessions.
Hot glue guns are operated exclusively by Makerschool instructors. Students do not handle hot glue guns.
Students are expected to follow reasonable instructions from Makerschool staff at all times and to treat other students, staff, equipment, and the premises with respect.
Makerschool reserves the right to exclude a Student from the programme (without refund) if their behaviour poses a risk to the safety or wellbeing of other students or staff, or if, after a written warning to the parent/guardian, disruptive behaviour continues.
Students must be collected promptly at the end of each session. Makerschool cannot accommodate Students remaining on premises after the session ends without prior arrangement. Late collection fees of SGD $10 per 15-minute block (or part thereof) may apply.

8. Health and Medical

You are responsible for disclosing any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs relevant to your child's participation in the programme via this registration form.
Makerschool is not a medical facility and does not administer medication. If your child requires medication during sessions, please contact us prior to enrolment to discuss arrangements.
In the event of a medical emergency, Makerschool staff will call for emergency services (995) and contact the registered parent/guardian immediately.

9. Photography, Media, and Portfolio

Makerschool may photograph Students' work and projects for portfolio and documentation purposes. These are shared privately with the registered parent/guardian.
Marketing use of images is subject to the specific consents indicated in this registration form. Makerschool will not use facial images of Students for marketing purposes without explicit consent.
Portfolio content created by the Student remains the intellectual property of the Student. Makerschool may use anonymised excerpts (without the student's name) for programme illustration purposes, subject to consent.

10. Data Privacy

Personal data collected through this form is used solely for programme administration, safety, and communication purposes. Makerschool complies with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). Data is not sold or shared with third parties except where required by law. You may request access to or correction of your data by emailing us at the address listed on mkr.sg.

11. Limitation of Liability

Makerschool's liability to you for any loss or damage arising out of the programme is limited to the programme fee paid. Makerschool is not liable for indirect or consequential loss of any kind. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by Makerschool's negligence.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.

13. Amendments

Makerschool reserves the right to update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated to registered families by email with reasonable notice.
