Generic organisers never fit what you have. Design and print one that does.
No experience needed. In three hours at our Singapore lab, design a modular desktop organiser sized for what’s actually on your desk — then keep printing and improving it for 30 days after.
3 HRS + 30 DAYS LAB
A 3D design and printing workshop for absolute beginners in Singapore
Three hours, hands-on, at the Makerschool lab. S$248 per seat.
In three hours, from a blank screen, you’ll design your own modular desktop organiser — a set of three pieces that join together with magnet inserts, sized and shaped for what’s actually cluttering your desk.
The workshop is built for people who’ve never designed anything in 3D before, so no prior experience is required. Makerschool provides the laptops and keeps the group small, so the instructor can get to everyone and you arrive empty-handed.
Your pieces keep printing on Makerschool’s machines after class ends. You collect them and keep building during your 30 days of MakerCraft lab access afterward. Full details of the open lab are on the MakerCraft page.
Show up and design. That’s it.
No 3D printer to buy
The MakerCraft lab does the printing. You never need to own, maintain or calibrate a machine.
Real design skill, not just a print job
You leave knowing how to design your own objects — not just how to press print on a file someone else made.
No troubleshooting
Bed levelling and failed prints are handled by Makerschool staff, in class and during lab hours.
Nothing to bring
A laptop is set up and waiting for you. Come empty-handed.
What you’ll design: an organiser that actually locks together
Three separate pieces, each shaped differently, each built to join with the others through magnet inserts set into their flat faces.
The box
A straight-walled rectangular container.
The tall prism
A tall hexagonal prism, for pens and taller odds and ends.
The wide tray
A short, wide hexagonal tray, for paper clips and loose bits.
Every piece is designed so it can join with every other piece, not just its own kind — rearrange the set as your desk changes, instead of being stuck with one fixed shape.
The three hours are the start, not the whole thing.
Days of MakerCraft lab access
Practice on your schedule, not ours
Any and every evening — weekdays 6:30–11pm, weekends 3–11pm. Come back to keep printing, refining and expanding your set. Makerschool’s machines are provided; nothing to buy, nothing to set up.
Days of instructor access
Ours comes back weekly, so you’re never stuck alone
Your instructor drops into the lab at least once a week during your 30 days — sometimes more. Those visits follow the lab’s schedule, not yours, so we can’t guarantee one lands on the evening you’re free. You’re welcome in the lab any evening regardless.

Frequently asked questions
How much does the workshop cost?
S$248 per seat. That covers the three-hour hands-on workshop, laptop use for the session, and 30 days of MakerCraft lab access afterward, with instructor drop-ins at least once a week during those 30 days.
Do I need any 3D design experience to join?
No. The workshop assumes you’ve never designed anything in 3D before. It starts from a blank screen, and the whole build is guided step by step with an instructor in the room.
Do I need to bring a laptop?
No. Makerschool provides a laptop set up and ready for your session, so you can come empty-handed.
Do I need to own a 3D printer?
No. Makerschool’s printers handle every print, both during the workshop and across your 30 days of lab access afterward.
What will I design in the workshop?
A three-piece desktop organiser — a rectangular box, a tall hexagonal prism, and a short, wide hexagonal tray — each with magnet inserts, so every piece can join with every other piece.
What if I can’t make it while my instructor is in the lab?
Your instructor drops into the lab at least once a week during your 30 days of access, sometimes more, but those visits follow the lab’s schedule rather than any one learner’s, so we can’t guarantee one lands on your evening. You’re welcome in the lab on your own any evening regardless.
How many people are in a workshop?
We run with a minimum of 2 people, aim for around 6 so everyone gets real attention, and the venue can seat up to 12.
Where in Singapore is the workshop held?
At the Makerschool lab, 76 Circuit Road #02-06, Singapore 370076, above MacPherson MRT Exit C. Open in Google Maps.
